Royal Elephant with Trunk Raised Limoges Box

A royal elephant lifts its trunk high on this hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, a pose long associated with good fortune. Made in Limoges, France, it has the grand, ceremonial presence of an elephant dressed for a parade.

Trunk Up for Good Fortune

In many traditions an elephant with a raised trunk is thought to shower luck and blessings on a home. Royal elephants, decorated for festivals and processions, add a sense of pageantry to that idea. This piece combines both, making it as meaningful as it is handsome.

Luck at the Front Door

Some collectors face trunk-up elephants toward the front door to welcome good fortune inside, while others place them on a desk for success at work. It makes a fitting present for a new home, a new job, a graduation or a big move. Elephant collectors, travelers back from India or Thailand, and anyone who believes in a little luck will treasure it. Display it on an entry table, a home office shelf or in a curio cabinet with other animals.
