PLIMOTH PATUXET LIFE: The Thanksgiving Edition

Each year, millions of Americans are reminded of Plymouth’s place in the Nation’s story when they join their families and friends to mark the occasion. The roots of our Thanksgiving holiday were established here in Patuxet/Plymouth when ancient traditions of gratitude from both the Indigenous and European cultures merged in the autumn of 1621. The well-researched, fact-based articles and plentiful photos will deepen your understanding of Thanksgiving. The publication includes 72 pages of content about the history of the holiday; with special attention given to the 1621 gathering. This edition features a fold-out timeline of 400 years of Thanksgiving.
